Passover

We had our first trip to Chicago for Passover last weekend. We flew to Chicago on Friday after work. Getting there was not to bad. But it turns out- it is VERY hard to keep Passover while traveling. Myla was forced to dine on french fries, whilst Bryan dug into his Big Mac at Cincinnati Airport. Dad Goldman meet us at the airport. True to form, he got us to the house at warp speed.

Saturday we awoke to the sound of Lucie laughter. She was already up making breakfast for everyone.
We spent much of the day visiting and getting ready for dinner. Everyone pitched in and helped. Amie, David, Lucie, Dad, Joyce, Jordana and Alec were in attendance. We had a big roasted turkey, matzo ball soup, asparagus, salad, and potato's. In addition to the standard hard boiled egg and bitter herb. David, I learned, has masted the skills necessary to make the perfect matzo ball. Who knew?

We did a short Seder- which was a new experience for Bryan. Although he quickly mastered reading the book from right to left- he struggled with the Hebrew. Maybe next year.

Saturday night- we all got to have a special good night kiss from Miss Lucie as she walked up to bed. Very Sound of Music- as she made her way up the stairs and kissed us one by one through the banister.

Sunday we had a chance to play more with Lucie and enjoy visiting with Amie, David, Dad and Joyce. Then off to the airport. Sunday night- as the sun went down, Myla was finally able to enjoy a Quarter Pounder with Cheese!

Looking forward to next year!
