Movie Review: Michael Clayton

Grade: B+
We read a number of reviews of this movie and they were spectacular. We did not hesitate to go see it when it finally arrived. The reviews were a bit over-hyped. The movie's strengths are the actors, especially Tom Wilkinson as the attorney off his meds and Tilda Swinton as chief counsel that was way over her head. They were some great scenes such as the showdown with Clayton (Clooney) and Wilkinson and Clooney and Swinton. However, seen as a whole, it was weaker. Clooney's scenes with his son are extra filler, it had one really good scene and that is about it. However, it is worth seeing in the movie house and I expect there will be some actor nominations coming. --Bryan

John & I finally caught this over the weekend and we both loved it. Pleasantly surprised that it was a film about Michael Clayton, not at all a court-room drama preaching to us about the evils of The Corporation.
