I apologized for being way over due in updating the blog. We have been super busy with several trips, visitors, and big life changes. I will not be able to capture it all here and do it justice I am sure. I have selected several photos to capture what we have been up to. They appear below in no particular order. (I know you only come for the pictures).
We had a wonderful time the weekend of May 18th traveling to Washington, DC. It was great to revisit several of the memorials and to see them for the first time thru Bryan's eyes. Rowen was a champ spending most of the day in the stroller and enjoying the spring weather. We then traveled back with Grandma Benz, who was able to spend 3 days with us. Rowen had his first taste of cereal and took to eating like an old pro. Rowen and I were glad to have Grandma to show us the ropes on eating for the first time!
The next day Grandpa Craig came to visit and enjoy a day with Rowen. While the boys hung out we ladies (Mom and I) went for a wonderful afternoon at the Wintergreen resort for some much needed pampering.
Memorial Day weekend was mildly foiled by my diagnosis of Lyme disease. I had been feeling ill for 2 days going into the weekend and was totally wiped out on Sat and Sunday. By Monday, I felt like I was moving thru cement. Even the smallest task felt like moving mountains. We went to urgent care clinic to learn my blood pressure was 80/50 (very low). And, I noticed the area of a previous tick bite was becoming more red. I started antibiotics and began to feel better after 4-5 days on Ceftin. Yay for modern medicine.
Finally, we spent 4 days in Atlanta. Rowen and Byran had fun exploring the city while I attended the CMSC meeting (annual MS meeting). We were able to see Melanie, Adam, Will and Farrah which was great! Never enough time- but better than nothing.
