Videos and picture updates

Things have been super busy here and I am remiss at updating the blog. We have been to Cleveland for X-mas. It was great to see the Craig family. Rowen did a great job on the road and had fun exploring Cleveland. We had to leave one day early due to pending snow- but enjoyed the time we had. Rowen got lots of great gifts- which have continued to offer him amusement in the new year.

When we came home, Rowen took his first few steps. Over the next 5 days Rowen appeared to master walking!! It was amazing to see his quick mastery of the skill. He has also been more verbal. His first word appears to be "Doggie" and "Froggie". Which sound suspiciously similar. He also "Hi" in what appears to be an appropriate fashion. He does not use Mama or Dada in any reliable way. So, I guess we are second fiddle to Titan and Mr. Frog. But we still love him!

Although we could not see Grandma and Papa Benz or Bubbe and Zaide for the holidays, Rowen has had a great time with the gifts that were sent along. I would especially like to thank Grandma Benz for the 8KB camera memory card. You may also want to thank her-- MORE videos and pictures coming your way!

He is also pointing reliably and clearly has evolved to have strong opinions- particularly about food! This has made meals a little more challenging. For example, when given tricolor rotini he only wants to eat the white ones. He also wants specific spoons and will sometimes only eat food in a particular bowls. In a word our son is - Persnickety! I have no idea where that comes from. Must be from his father....

Tonight, we noticed Rowen was "reading" his book. Super cute! Enjoy these videos.

BTW....the camera may add 10 lbs, but I am officially convinced the video camera adds 10 octaves. In no other realm is my voice so high!! Is it???
